Fort Wayne, IN Grand Opening on January 13
MISSION BBQ opened its 90th location in Fort Wayne, IN on Monday, January 13. The event began at 12 noon with the singing of Our National Anthem performed live by a local Uniformed American Hero. The ribbon cutting ceremony followed immediately afterwards.
This location is the 3rd in Indiana for the restaurant known for its traditional American BBQ with a hefty side of patriotism. For co-founders Bill Kraus and Steve Newton, the opening of another Indiana location brings the growth of MISSION BBQ full circle. The restaurants will continue to expand throughout the eastern half of the United States with a targeted goal of 150 restaurants by the end of 2021.
As is tradition with the opening of every MISSION BBQ, the Fort Wayne location hosted charity nights throughout the week leading up to the Grand Opening with all sales donated to organizations chosen by local fire and police departments in the Fort Wayne Community, as well as the USO of Indiana.
