Service After Trauma

Anthony D’Amico credits the love and support of his family with bringing him back from the trauma he experienced during his time serving in Iraq. “I finished my time in the Marine Corps in 2012 after my tour in Iraq and at that point I wanted to continue my service. Service itself is in my blood. I did my time for my country now I want to do my time for the community,” Anthony said. It is that family support that makes it possible for him to serve Our Community as a police officer. “Ultimately I was able to overcome the trauma from my tour in Iraq mainly because of my family. There’s nothing greater than coming home to family.”
