Mentor, OH Grand Opening on February 17
MISSION BBQ opened its 93rd location in Mentor, OH on Monday, February 17. This location is the fourth in Ohio for the restaurant known for its traditional American BBQ with a hefty side of patriotism. The event began at 12 noon with the singing of Our National Anthem performed live by a local Uniformed American Hero. The ribbon cutting ceremony followed immediately afterwards.
The Mentor opening is very personal and emotional for co-founder Steve Newton, born and raised in Columbus. He couldn’t be any prouder than to be bringing a fourth MISSION BBQ home to the Buckeye State. MISSION BBQ continues to expand throughout the eastern half of the United States with a targeted goal of 150 restaurants by the end of 2021.
As is tradition with the opening of every MISSION BBQ, the Mentor location hosted charity nights throughout the week leading up to the Grand Opening with all sales donated to organizations chosen by local fire and police departments in the Mentor Community, as well as the USO of Northern Ohio.
